QSPAC Industries, Inc., a Santa Fe Springs, CA-based supplier of selfwound lamination products to the label industry, has announced its latest charitable endeavor. Once again, the company will be donating 1% of its October sales to City of Hope, helping to advance the search for a cure for cancer. 

City of Hope is a leader in the research and treatment of cancer, diabetes, and other serious and life-threatening diseases. Founded in 1913, the organization is one of only 45 comprehensive cancer centers in the nation, as designated by the National Cancer Institute.

Finding a cure for cancer is a cause that is near and dear to the hearts of the QSPAC team. Howard Shen, QSPAC’s Director of Overlamination Products, explains: “A very close friend of Joe Tang, the owner and president of QSPAC, was diagnosed with acute leukemia 27 years ago. He was admitted to City of Hope, but they could not find a bone marrow match to save his life. At the time, he did not have enough financial resources, but City of Hope was willing to help. City of Hope performed an advance treatment where they used his own bone marrow with a special treatment and were able to transplant it back to him. Today, he is a proud grandfather of six and lives a very active lifestyle.”

“We all know someone whose life has been affected by cancer,” Shen continues. “And this is our way of giving back, by working with City of Hope and donating 1% of our October sales to them.”

QSPAC started this program last October, and plans to continue it for years to come. “Giving back is something we are committed to, and our goal is donate a signifcant sum of money to City of Hope – so your business counts,” Shen says.
